Jitter clicking is a technique where you tense the muscles of your forearm and hand so that your finger vibrates on the mouse button. Each vibration is a click. Done well it produces 10 to 14 clicks per second, roughly double what a relaxed finger can do.
The test counts every click in the box for 30 seconds and divides by 30. The green line is your average, the red line your real-time speed, so you can see the moment the vibration starts and the moment your arm tires.
Jitter clicking is legal in most games, but it is hard on the wrist. Keep sessions short, stop when it hurts, and never use it as a daily habit.
CPS = clicks ÷ secondsClick 187 times in 30 seconds and your CPS is 6.2.
Across 42,291,019 tests on the CPS Test since 2019, the average for 30 seconds is 6.23 CPS. 8.6 CPS or more puts you in the top 10% for this length of test.
The chart has two lines. The green one is your average since the first click. The red one is your speed over the last 0.3 seconds, so bursts and tired moments show up as peaks and dips.
How to take the test
- Rest your palm lightly on the mouse and hover one finger above the left button without pressing.
- Tense your forearm until your hand starts to shake. Let the shaking press the button.
- Click inside the box to start the timer, then keep the vibration going for 30 seconds.
- Read your result and compare with the jitter click records. Most people need a few tries to find the tension.
