About the right click test

The right click test is the standard CPS test for the other mouse button. Only presses of the right button are counted; left and middle clicks are ignored and the context menu is suppressed while you play.

Most people right-click with the middle finger, which is rarely trained, so scores are usually one to three CPS below the same player's left-click result. With practice the gap closes.

On a touch screen there is no right button, so taps are counted instead. Right-click records are kept in this browser only and are not part of the global leaderboard.

CPS = clicks ÷ secondsClick 34 times in 5 seconds and your CPS is 6.8.

The chart has two lines. The green one is your average since the first click. The red one is your speed over the last 0.3 seconds, so bursts and tired moments show up as peaks and dips.

How to take the test

  1. Put your middle finger on the right mouse button and relax the rest of the hand.
  2. Right-click inside the box. The timer starts with the first accepted click.
  3. Keep right-clicking for 5 seconds. Every click is drawn on the chart.
  4. Read your result and try again. Your best right-click score per duration is stored locally.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good right click CPS?
Around 5 CPS is typical for an untrained middle finger. Six to eight CPS is good, and anything above 10 CPS in a 10 second right click test is exceptional.
Why does the context menu not appear?
The test cancels the browser's context menu inside the box so that every right click counts and nothing pops up over the chart.
Do right clicks count on the global leaderboard?
No. Right-click runs are kept in your browser as personal records. The live and weekly leaderboards only count standard left-click runs.
Can I use jitter or butterfly clicking with the right button?
You can, though the middle finger is harder to vibrate. Most players get better results by simply training the finger with short daily sessions.
What does CPS stand for?
CPS means clicks per second. It is the number of mouse clicks (or taps) you make divided by the length of the test in seconds.
Why does the chart show two lines?
The green line is your average CPS since the first click. The red line is your real-time CPS measured over the last 0.3 seconds. The gap between them shows how your speed changes during the test.
Does the test work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Tap the box instead of clicking. Touch input is counted the same way, and we keep separate world records for mobile and tablet.
Are auto clickers allowed?
No. Auto clickers produce perfectly even intervals that are easy to spot on the chart. Records set with an auto clicker are not accepted.
